Eva Edl, an 89-year-old survivor of the Nazi invasion and a concentration camp, has recently found herself in the crosshairs of the Biden administration's Department of Justice.

Her crime? Praying and peacefully protesting outside an abortion clinic. Now, she is facing a potential 10-year prison sentence for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

According to The Blaze, when asked by Glenn Beck about her thoughts on her past experiences and current predicament, Edl drew a chilling parallel. "Well, there really is no difference. You know, I’ve heard it said our natural mind can justify anything our evil hearts want to do," she said. She recalled how during World War II, the Nazis justified the extermination of Jews, gypsies, Slavs, and others by dehumanizing them. "They’re not quite human yet, according to evolutionary theory," she quoted.

Edl also pointed out the disturbing similarities between the justifications used by the Nazis and the Communists who followed them. "At the end of the war, when the communists came in, they decided to just say because you are of an ethnic background of a certain people group, your blood is already evil. So even if you’re a newborn baby, you are evil in itself and you have to be exterminated," she recounted.

However, Edl believes that the root cause of these atrocities, past and present, is not ideology but greed. "Right now, why are we exterminating babies? Because we’re selfish. Nothing has changed," she stated. "Evil minds just find different excuses."

Despite the daunting sentence she faces for her peaceful protest, Edl remains unafraid. "I’m prepared to die in there," she declared. "I believe in the Lord Jesus. I have eternal life in him now, and so why would I be afraid? The main reason I’m doing what I’m doing is simply in obedience to him."

Edl further explained her motivation for standing in front of the clinic doors. "I’m just buying time for our sidewalk counselors to reach women in a calm and quiet way and touch their hearts," she said. "There are many that are just grateful afterwards that we were there and kept them from murdering their own babies."
