In a recent opinion editorial by Brandon Morse for RedState, the author draws parallels between George Washington's strategy in the Revolutionary War and the current cultural and political battles with entertainment giant Disney.

Morse suggests that, much like Washington, the American people have managed to outlast their seemingly more powerful opponent through sheer grit and determination.

Morse's argument centers on recent claims made by culture commentator Chris Gore during an episode of YouTuber Critical Drinker's "Open Bar" stream. Gore, who Morse describes as a well-connected Hollywood insider, shared that Marvel had quietly fired all producers who could be labeled as activists.

"I do know people who work at Marvel. They have cleaned house, They quietly, months ago, fired all the producers that could be labeled activist," Gore said during the stream. He also mentioned that Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, acknowledged that their recent approach didn't work.

"He’s talking about Phase 4. It didn’t work. No Kang. None of these side characters that don’t have the legacy of classic characters. And if proves anything, you’ve heard that phrase ‘male and pale is stale’ — that was spoken aloud across studios, but if you look at box office this year, I would say male and pale is money. And that’s the phrase that I think people should more adopt," Gore added.

While Morse acknowledges that Gore didn't present any concrete evidence to support his claims, he argues that many rumors about Disney have proven to be true. He also cites Gore's reputation as a reliable source of information and the lack of "wokeness" in recent Disney/Marvel movies as reasons to believe the claims.

Morse, however, doesn't believe that Disney has completely changed its course. He points out that Disney/Lucasfilm seems to be filled with activists and that Marvel still has some upcoming releases that are likely to carry some form of messaging.

Despite this, Morse sees a silver lining. He argues that if Gore's claims are true, it's because the American people have rejected and punished Disney's attempts to normalize what should never be normalized. He believes that the public's support for creators who make the content they want has created a successful alternative market that activists didn't anticipate.

In summary, Morse's opinion editorial suggests that the American people, through their rejection of certain cultural and political narratives, have forced entertainment giants like Disney to reconsider their strategies. He sees this as a victory in the ongoing culture war and encourages his readers to continue supporting alternative markets and voices.
