The Harris team has argued that Trump's policies and actions during his presidency led to significant job losses and brought the nation to the brink of a recession.
"Donald Trump failed Americans as President, costing our economy millions of jobs, and bringing us to the brink of recession," stated James Singer, spokesperson for Harris for President, according to Fox News. Singer further criticized Trump's proposed Project 2025 agenda, claiming it would "decimate the middle class and increase taxes on working families, while ripping away health care, raising prescription drug costs, and cutting Social Security and Medicare — all while making his billionaire donors richer."
Despite the current economic challenges, Singer emphasized that significant progress has been made under the Harris administration. He added that the Vice President is committed to further work to reduce costs for families. Harris' primary goal, Singer said, is to strengthen the middle class by combating corporate greed, eliminating hidden fees, and capping unfair rent increases and drug costs.
