Former President Donald Trump recently revealed on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings With Maria Bartiromo” that he received an apology from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg following an assassination attempt.

Trump claimed that Zuckerberg expressed regret for the censorship of images featuring the former President with a raised fist on Facebook and Instagram.

According to Breitbart, Trump stated, "Mark Zuckerberg called me. First off he called me a few times after the event and said that was amazing and brave and actual he announced he is not going to support a Democrat because he can’t because he respected me for what I did that day.” This statement suggests that Zuckerberg, who has often been criticized for his platform's handling of political content, showed a level of respect for Trump's actions.

Trump further elaborated, “To me it was a normal response but I was called by Mark Zuckerberg the day before on the same subject and apologized and said they made a mistake and they are correcting the mistake. Google, nobody called for Google.” This comment underscores the former president's dissatisfaction with the tech giant's response, or lack thereof, to the incident.

The incident underscores the ongoing tension between conservative figures and tech giants, which have been accused of suppressing conservative voices. The apology from Zuckerberg, as described by Trump, could be seen as an acknowledgment of this issue. However, it also raises questions about the role of these platforms in shaping political discourse and the extent to which they should be held accountable for their actions.
