According to Fox News, the former President, Donald Trump, recently addressed a significant assembly of conservative and faith-based voters.

This comes just days before his anticipated face-off with President Biden in the inaugural presidential debate of 2024.

The Faith & Freedom Coalition's annual Road to Majority conference saw a diverse audience of over a thousand attendees gather at the Washington Hilton's ballroom. The crowd was eager to hear from the former president, who wasted no time in alluding to the forthcoming debate. "Nobody's going to be watching the debate on Thursday night, right?" Trump quipped, eliciting laughter from the audience.

In his opening remarks, Trump urged Christians to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming November elections. "Christians don't vote that much. You don't have to vote in four years, but you have to vote this time," he humorously stated.

Trump touched on several issues of significance to faith-based voters, including late-term abortion and his administration's decision to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. "Never again will the federal government be used to target Americans of faith," Trump declared, referencing the restrictions on gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed concern about the diminishing importance of religion in the country, attributing this decline to the rising crime rates and other societal issues.

Glenn Youngkin, the Republican Governor of Virginia, addressed the crowd before Trump, rallying for the former president's return to the White House and a bolstered Republican majority in Congress. The two made their first joint appearance earlier this month, shortly after a poll revealed a tie between Trump and Biden in the traditionally Democratic-leaning state. This sparked speculation about Youngkin being a potential vice-presidential running mate.

Trump and Biden are set to meet on an Atlanta stage for a debate hosted by CNN this Thursday. This will be their first encounter since their final debate before the 2020 presidential election. The two are expected to meet only once more on the debate stage before the November general election, during the ABC News-hosted debate in September.
