In the heartland of America, Texas, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to grapple with the escalating issue of illegal immigration, a problem that has been exacerbated under the Biden administration.

According to Gateway Pundit, the DPS recently apprehended six illegal aliens during a traffic stop in Brooks County, as part of Operation Lone Star. "Three of the six were found hiding in the trunk of the car and appeared to be dehydrated," the report stated. The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested for smuggling, and all six individuals were handed over to the Border Patrol.

The Texas DPS has been tirelessly working to curb illegal immigration, a task that has become increasingly challenging. In Maverick County alone, last week saw the arrest of 131 illegal aliens for criminal trespass. These individuals hailed from various countries, including Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuela, and Colombia, among others.

The Biden administration's failure to uphold its Constitutional responsibility to protect the U.S. from invasion under Article IV, Section 4, has been a point of contention. The Constitution states, "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

Since January 2021, it is estimated that between 10 to 12 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S., with some estimates even reaching 15 million. This staggering figure is equivalent to the population of 41 individual states.

The executive order issued by President Biden earlier this month regarding the border crisis has been criticized as insufficient and tardy. It offers no concrete solutions and fails to effectively secure the border. As the Lone Star State continues to bear the brunt of this crisis, the question remains: when will the federal government step up to its Constitutional responsibilities?
