The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has launched a new advertisement, marking the six-month countdown to the November election.

The ad criticizes House Democrats for their alleged failure to address key national issues.

The advertisement, unveiled on Tuesday, begins with the statement, "Under extreme House Democrats, the country is in crisis. The border is a disaster. The economy is failing. And lawlessness is the new normal." The ad further emphasizes the Republican party's commitment to fighting for American freedoms, urging citizens to vote on November 5th.

Macy Gardner, the NRCC's rapid response director, expressed her concerns to Fox News Digital, stating, "Extreme Democrats will plunge our country into an unprecedented level of chaos if we don’t kick them out of office in November." She added, "Fortunately, House Republicans continue to fight tooth and nail to halt Biden’s border, crime, and inflation crises."

In response to these allegations, a spokesperson for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Viet Shelton, countered, "Facts matter." He pointed out the record job growth over the past two years and the significant decrease in inflation. Shelton also criticized Republicans for defending violent insurrectionists and their "wannabe dictator in chief." He asserted, "Only Democrats are fighting to lower health care costs, make the ultra wealthy pay their fair share, support a bipartisan border security deal, and protect reproductive freedom for everyone, everywhere."

Shelton further criticized the House Republican majority for its "dysfunction, chaos, and a steady sprint to the far-right at all costs," claiming that voters are growing weary of it.

Despite the heated exchange, Democrats continue to maintain a significant financial advantage in the race for control of the House of Representatives. However, the NRCC's current cash-on-hand deficit is smaller than it was at the same point in the 2022 and 2020 election cycles. In March 2022, the DCCC had $18.5 million more cash on hand than the NRCC, but Republicans gained nine seats that November. That difference was a massive $31.9 million in 2020, but Republicans still went on to gain 13 seats.

NRCC spokesman Will Reinert expressed optimism about the upcoming election, stating, "House Republicans remain in a strong position to grow the majority. Meanwhile, extreme House Democrats continue to support dangerous open borders, pro-crime and pro-inflationary policies that doomed their majority in the first place."
