In a recent Fox News townhall, former President Donald Trump revealed that his wife, Melania Trump, is set to make more frequent public appearances in support of his 2024 presidential campaign.

The former First Lady, known for her private nature despite a successful modeling career, is expected to step into the limelight more often, not out of personal preference, but out of a desire to see the country prosper.

"She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results," Trump stated on Tuesday. "She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country."

Trump further contrasted Melania's approach to public life with that of other first ladies, who he suggested were more eager for public recognition. "If I didn’t introduce Melania, she’d be very happy about it. She’s just a different kind of a person," he said.

Melania Trump's public appearances have been sparse since the launch of her husband's 2024 campaign. Her low profile has been attributed to the recent passing of her mother, Amalija Knavs. However, as the campaign intensifies, there has been speculation about her potential increased involvement.

Trump also highlighted Melania's dedication to their son, Barron Trump, and her commitment to the nation's success. "Her life revolves around that boy. It’s so important to her," he said. "At the same time, it also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She’s raised a lot of money for charity. She’s a private person."

The former President reiterated Melania's love for the country and her willingness to increase her public presence for its benefit. "She’s going to be out a lot, but she does it for the good of the country, not for her. She’s somebody with a lot of confidence. She doesn’t need that," he said.

The Fox News townhall took place just four days ahead of the South Carolina Republican presidential primary, scheduled for Saturday. Current public opinion polls suggest that Trump holds a substantial double-digit lead over his closest competitor for the GOP nomination, former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
