Presidential candidate Nikki Haley, known for her neoconservative views, remains steadfast in her belief that she can defeat former President Donald Trump in the Republican primary.

However, recent polls indicate that Trump maintains a significant lead over Haley in every state.

In a recent interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Haley seemed to be in denial about her chances of securing the nomination. Tapper questioned Haley about her plans, stating, "So obviously, you're running in South Carolina, and you've told me that you plan to be around. Well, obviously, you want to be the nominee and then the president, but you're going to be around at least until Super Tuesday."

Tapper then asked Haley if it would be difficult for her to support Trump as the Republican Party's nominee if she were to lose. Haley responded confidently, saying, "Well, first, I think that you need to know that I am going to beat President Trump. But you should ask him if it'll be difficult for him to support me?"

Tapper pointed out that Trump did not sign the GOP pledge in 2016 and is unlikely to do so now. He asked Haley if she would commit to voting for Trump if he were to become the nominee. Haley evaded the question, stating, "What I'm saying is what I said from the very beginning when there were 14 candidates on the stage, that any one of the 14 would be better than Joe Biden."

It is worth noting that Haley recently won the Nevada Republican primary, where she was the only major candidate on the ballot. Trump, the frontrunner in the GOP race, did not participate in the primary, instead opting for the state's caucus.
