A Minnesota building, home to three prominent conservative organizations, was ravaged by a fire on Sunday morning, prompting an arson investigation.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has confirmed the incident as a potential case of arson, as reported by Alpha News. Ashlee Sherill, a public information officer with the ATF, did not provide further details about the ongoing investigation or potential suspects.

The investigation is being spearheaded by a multi-agency task force, comprising the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the Hennepin County Fire Investigation team, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshall Division. The fire broke out around 2 am on Sunday at 8421 Wayzata Blvd in Golden Valley, prompting the Golden Valley Fire Department's immediate response.

The fire's location within the building has led some to believe that the conservative organizations were specifically targeted. "The fires were obviously set by someone. They targeted conservative organizations. They didn’t firebomb the chiropractors or psychologists or Manufacturers Alliance. We are working with authorities to try to identify the perpetrators," stated John Hinderaker, president of the Center of the American Experiment (CAE).

The building housed the Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC), TakeCharge, and CAE, all of which suffered significant fire damage. The other tenants of the building were reportedly unaffected. CAE, a Minnesota-based think tank, conducts research on healthcare, education, and economic issues impacting Minnesota families. TakeCharge aims to debunk the notion of institutional racism and educate communities about the risks associated with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

UMLC, according to its website, supports "pro-freedom litigation safeguarding against government overreach, left-wing special interest agendas, constitutional violations, and public union corruption."

In the aftermath of the incident, all three organizations released statements, vowing that such attacks would not deter their efforts. "Attempts to silence us won’t work," declared Kendall Qualls, president of TakeCharge. "We’re promoting the bold truth that the crisis in the black community is not due to racism but to fatherless homes. This act emboldens us to be stronger and louder."

James Dickey of the UMLC labeled the incident as an act of "domestic terrorism." He expressed his concern about the potential targeting of their organization due to their work and hoped for justice. "Most importantly, we’re grateful that our team is safe and, to our knowledge, nobody was harmed in the fire. It’s very sad to see the extensive damage to our office suite and also to Center of the American Experiment and TakeCharge," Dickey added.

The building, now declared uninhabitable, will require several months of repair work.
