Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg has recently expressed a shift in his perspective towards former President Donald Trump, stating that he now harbors "nothing but love" for him.

In a conversation with The Times, Snoop Dogg stated, "He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris." He further added, "So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

Michael Harris, the co-founder of Snoop Dogg's initial record label, Death Row Records, had been serving a 25-year-to-life sentence for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. As reported by the Daily Mail, Harris had completed 30 years of his sentence before Trump commuted it in January 2021.

During the interview, Snoop Dogg hinted at the possibility of endorsing a candidate in the upcoming 2024 election, similar to his endorsement in 2012. "I might have to," Snoop said. "Because there are mixed views on that, so I want to see what the people say …”

Following the commutation of Harris' sentence in 2021, Snoop Dogg lauded Trump's work as president. "That's great work for the president and his team on the way out," he said. "They did some great work while they were in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did," Snoop continued. "It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God."

However, Snoop Dogg's current admiration for Trump contrasts starkly with his previous criticism. In 2017, he staged a mock assassination of a Donald Trump look-alike in a music video. "I feel like it's a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody's dealing with the real issue with this f**king clown as president," he said at the time.

In 2011, prior to Trump's presidential campaign, Snoop Dogg humorously commented on the possibility of Trump running against former President Obama. "Why not? It wouldn't be the first time you'd pushed a black family out of their home," he said.
