The United States is currently home to a record number of foreign-born individuals, according to the latest Current Population Survey (CPS) conducted by the Census Bureau in October.

The data reveals that the foreign-born population now stands at 49.5 million, constituting 15 percent of the total population.

The Center for Immigration Studies has noted a significant increase of 4.5 million foreign-born residents since the inception of the Biden administration. This surge has surpassed prior estimates, which projected the foreign-born population to reach 2.5 million. The 15 percent mark was not anticipated until 2033.

The Center attributes this unexpected surge to the ongoing illegal immigration crisis at the US southern border. The data indicates that the foreign-born population has seen an average monthly increase of 137,000 under the Biden administration. This is in stark contrast to the Trump administration, which averaged a monthly increase of 42,000 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Charlie Kirk, a senior contributor at Human Events, recently highlighted the rapid increase in the foreign-born population. "Just a month ago, the Census Bureau predicted that it would take a decade for America to become 15% foreign-born," Kirk stated. "Instead, we hit that THIS month, 10 years ahead of schedule."

Kirk attributed this surge to the border crisis, stating, "What’s happening on America’s borders is not incompetence. It is a calculated criminal act."

The CPS data also reveals that the largest population increase is among individuals from South America, with a rise of 28 percent. This is closely followed by Central America, which saw a 25 percent increase. Overall, immigrants from Latin America accounted for 63 percent of the total increase.

Last week, the border patrol in Tuscon, Arizona, suspended its social media accounts due to the massive influx of illegal immigrants crossing the border in its sector. In the preceding week, the BP Tuscon sector reported that it had apprehended 15,300 individuals and seized a record total of 177 pounds of Fentanyl.
