Hunter Biden, the first son of President Joe Biden, has reportedly agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee as part of their investigation into his business ties.

According to a letter obtained by NBC News, Hunter has agreed to testify on December 13th.

Earlier this month, Hunter was subpoenaed by House Republicans and was originally summoned to appear for a closed-door transcribed interview. However, his attorney, Abbe Lowell, expressed concerns that a closed-door session could be used to manipulate the facts and misinform the public.

In the letter, Lowell stated, "We have seen you use closed-door sessions to manipulate, even distort the facts and misinform the public. We therefore propose opening the door." This suggests that Hunter and his legal team are seeking a more transparent and public setting for his testimony.

The House Oversight Committee's investigation into Hunter Biden's business ties has been a topic of intense scrutiny and political debate. Republicans have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest and allegations of wrongdoing, while Democrats argue that the investigation is politically motivated.
