Houston police have apprehended a 22-year-old man after he claimed to have located two teenagers whom he accused of stealing his car and subsequently shot them both during a confrontation.

According to Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective Q. Nguyen, Addrian Nicolas Garcia informed investigators that two males had taken his vehicle from his residence. He stated that he shot them both around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday after tracking them down in the vicinity of the 8200 block of Gulck Lane.

Upon receiving the report, officers swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered that both juveniles had sustained gunshot wounds. The police have confirmed that the two victims, both 15 years old, were transported to local hospitals in critical but stable condition. Fortunately, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Garcia, who remained at the scene, was subsequently taken into custody. Following a thorough investigation and consultation with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, he has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault-serious bodily injury in the 248th State District Court.

While charges have not been filed against the teenagers, KTRK-TV has reported that the police have not clarified whether they are considered suspects in the auto theft.

The news of Garcia's arrest and the charges against him has sparked significant public interest. Yahoo News recently published a story from KRIV-TV about the shooting, and the article has already garnered over 3,300 comments as of Thursday afternoon.
