Its subsidiary project GIPPR AI, an offshoot of OpenAI's ChatGPT programmed to mitigate the latter's perceived left-leaning bias, has been abruptly shut down. The chatbot was named in tribute to Ronald Reagan, the Republican President known as "The Gipper."
The decision, announced on TUSK's website, came after OpenAI cited policy violations, particularly concerning "deceptive activity and coordinated inauthentic behavior." The tech giant's rationale has been framed around maintaining safety, a reason often given by Silicon Valley when justifying similar actions.
In a statement, Tusk responded: "We regret to inform our users that our chatbot provider, ChatGPT by OpenAI, is curtailing our free speech and forcing us to conform to their requirements for what can or cannot be said. They claim our GIPPR AI is not in compliance with their policies. Nothing could be further from the truth!"

TUSK is unwavering in its commitment to conservative values, perceiving the suspension of its services as an attempt to suppress the authentic conservative voice of its chatbot. In an assertive note, the tech firm said, "In an attempt to 'keep users and third parties safe,' it has become apparent they are trying to silence the Truthful chatbot's Conservative voice. We fully stand behind our Conservative values and priorities and we won't compromise, so we had no choice but to discontinue our relationship with them."

The firm is undeterred by the setback, pledging to its user base that it is developing a solution to resurrect the GIPPR AI shortly.
TUSK maintains that the only substantial distinction between GIPPR and the original ChatGPT was the intentional programming to prevent a left-leaning bias. This characteristic seemingly led to OpenAI's decision to terminate its services to the company.
