A violent altercation broke out at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Monday night, leading to the arrest of two individuals.

The incident, captured on video and went viral on social media, occurred at around 11:05 p.m. in the baggage claim area of Terminal 3. The footage shows a group of recent flyers engaging in a physical fight, with several individuals throwing punches and tackling each other. One man, dressed in all-white, slams another man onto the conveyor belt and kicks him in the face before attacking a woman from behind and punching her on the ground. Several female fighters were also seen pulling hair and tackling each other.

Despite attempts by bystanders to break up the brawl, the altercation continued. A 24-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries, according to authorities. Two adults, identified as Christopher Hampton, 18, of Maywood, Illinois, and Tembra Hicks, 20, of Carol Stream, Illinois, were arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count of battery each.

According to a witness, the altercation began as a verbal dispute between three air travelers while disembarking a commercial airliner. The situation quickly escalated into a physical fight at the baggage claim area. The Chicago Police Department stated to Fox News, saying, "A verbal dispute while deplaning escalated in the lower level of terminal 3 when a 24-year-old female victim was punched by two offenders."

The airport operator, the Chicago Department of Aviation, emphasized that safety and security are their top priorities. "We work closely with all of our federal partners present at O'Hare and Midway International Airports and the Chicago Police Department to ensure that everyone is safe when they are in our facilities," they said in a statement to WFLD.
