In a recent episode of "The View," Whoopi Goldberg, one of the co-hosts, pleaded to the audience to refrain from jeering after they expressed their disapproval of Republican New Hampshire Governor.

Chris Sununu's position on firearm regulations and mental health care accessibility. Joy Behar, another co-host, queried Sununu about his strategy to counter gun violence. Sununu's response, advocating for mental health care accessibility instead of firearm prohibition, was met with boos from the spectators.

"Not, there will be no booing," Goldberg intervened, reminding the audience of the significance of respectful dialogue and understanding differing viewpoints. She emphasized that no guest, irrespective of political affiliation, could be perfect. Goldberg thanked Sununu for his participation, highlighting the importance of providing individuals a platform to express their perspectives.

Sununu, a potential presidential candidate, has vocally encouraged the Republican Party to move beyond the legacy of former President Donald Trump.

"If your contention is that we ought to federally outlaw something, I'll remind you that the Democrats had control over the House, the Senate, and the Presidency for two years. Yet they did nothing," stated Sununu during the segment. This sentiment found agreement with co-host Sunny Hostin, who concurred, "They made a mistake."

A pressing question from Goldberg to Sununu concerned why Republicans are reluctant to ban AR-15s, to which he responded, "If it was that straightforward, the Democrats would have executed it already."

Discussing the 2024 race on Friday, Sununu expressed confidence in securing substantial financial backing should he decide to run. "I'm astoundingly surprised at the ease of fundraising. If we decide to proceed, that's actually the least of my concerns," he revealed to Fox News.

This is not the first time Goldberg has taken a stance against audience jeers. Previously in 2022, she admonished the spectators for booing conservative guest Kellyanne Conway. Asserting the importance of diverse viewpoints, Goldberg stated, "This is 'The View,' and this is her perspective. She's discussing her feelings and what she understands. Please don't boo her."
