What A Hypocrite!! Tax the Rich Advocate Rubs Shoulders With The Wealthy At 2023 Met Gala

A Brooklyn city councilman who has advocated for more taxes on the rich had no problems spending much time with the same people he feels should be taxed.

Fox News reports that Councilman Chi Ossé, known for his Socialist policies, was spotted at the 2023 Met Gala.

He stated the following to Vogue Magazine: “I was able to work with the designer Keith Herron, a young, Black creative who designs and runs the brand Advisory,”

He continued by saying, “And the garment that he put together—which referenced Karl’s 1983 Chanel collection and his own take on fashion—was just the most comfortable garment to wear. I felt amazing in it and received a lot of compliments.”

Ossé has made a name for himself on social media by posting about how the rich should be taxed more. He has become a favorite with people on the far Left, but he seemingly doesn’t care about being spotted with the same rich people he is often so critical of.

The councilmember wrote the following in 2020: “I wish Biden were a socialist.”

That tells you where his political ideals lie, but his actions seem different from what he posts on his social media accounts.

This isn’t even the first time he has been to the Met Gala. He attended last year as well. He went this year in a long blue suit with a black necktie. The case had a floral pattern, and he dressed this way to make a fashion statement.

In recent years, the Met Gala has become a must-attend event for progressive politicians. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went to the event in 2021 wearing a dress that said “tax the rich” on it. Fox News reports that the House Office of Congressional Ethics investigated AOC after her attendance to see if she violated House ethics rules about accepting gifts.

When speaking with investigators, AOC stated that she was unaware that some of the unpaid help she got to set up the dress could be considered a gift.

She stated the following about it: “I just never, ever, ever would have allowed that to happen knowing what I have learned.”
