While addressing the crowd gathered to celebrate the Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan, Biden acknowledged the presence of the House representatives and proceeded to comment on Omar's appearance. "Congressman Omar! Where are you, Congressman Omar?"
Biden shouted from behind the podium. "I'll get in trouble for saying this, but you look beautiful tonight," he mumbled. He then added, "And Congresswoman Tlaib. Where's—where's the congresswoman? There you are. Okay. So do you!"
While the comments were met with cheers and laughter from the crowd, individuals took to social media to call out the President's "creepy" behavior. Video from the event also appeared to show Biden referring to the female representatives as "congressman," but the official transcript of the event corrected his references to "congresswoman."

According to the White House transcript, Jean-Pierre responded, "I-I don't have a trip to—to—you mean an upcoming trip? Oh, I just don't have—we don't have anything to share at this time on a trip to Israel. As you know, the president went to Jerusalem over the summer, had a very productive trip when we were there, to talk about the Middle East and stabilizing the Middle East and continuing the very strong relationship that we have with Israel—as you just mentioned, decades of partnership that we have there. But I just don't have anything to read out on a—on a trip to celebrate the 75th anniversary."

As the reception resumed, a member in attendance told President Biden that the first and only Muslim federal judge was in the audience.
The President responded, "Hush up, boy! I don't know why he wants a job, man. I appoint all those federal judges, but you know, thank you for serving," Biden said, mumbling into the microphone.
