A Houston woman robbed of the cash she had withdrawn from the bank was caught-on-camera.

The violent robbery left the woman paralyzed. Now, two teens are behind bars and facing charges of assault.

Fox News reports, “Surveillance video showed a black male suspect wearing a red, white and black sweatshirt with an Air Jordan “Jumpman” logo, dark shorts and sneakers grab Truong, who had withdrawn an estimated $4,300 in cash from a Bank of America for a planned trip to see family in Vietnam.”

According to police, the two teens followed the victim, a mother of three, by car from the bank to a nearby business, where they mugged her. The two teens are Joseph Harrall, 17, and Zi’Nika Ayesha Woods, 19.

According to Houston police Detective Tyrus Fontenot, Harrall got out of the car driven by Woods and assaulted Truong after following the victim to a nearby business. He took her wallet and ran but quickly realized that the wallet did not have the money Truong had withdrawn from the bank. He tried to get the money envelope she was holding. Harrell picked Truong up and body-slammed her onto the hard concrete, resulting in severe injuries.

A surveillance video helped Houston Police identify the getaway car’s license plate. Later, Ayesha Woods was pulled over for a traffic stop. During the interview, Detective Fontenot stated that Woods admitted she was involved in the robbery and indicated Harrall was also involved.

Fontenot also noted that another detective had already been preparing a warrant for Harrell in a separate aggravated assault case. With assistance from the Westside gang unit, he was located and brought into custody on that warrant. Harrell also allegedly confessed to the attack on Truong.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said, “This type of violence will not be tolerated in our city. It is just senseless.” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said, “I just want people to know if you are foolish enough to commit these types of crimes, we will find you.” “It may take a few days. It may take a few weeks. But we will find you, and we’ll get you off the streets.”

The 44-year-old Truong suffered severe damage to her spinal cord because of the attack. She was released from the hospital on Friday, and her recovery time is expected to be extensive.
