World Gone Mad: Trans Health Secretary Faces Harsh Criticism After Making This Statement (Video)

Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine is taking some heat for saying that gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender kids is supported “at the highest levels of the Biden Administration," reports the New York Post.

Levine is the highest-ranking transgender official in American history, making them controversial. However, comments about support for hormone therapy for children have many people up in arms now. They are upset that Levine or anyone in the Administration believes it is appropriate to have children exposed to potentially life-changing decisions like this when they aren’t free to make other choices about their lives. It seems like an overstep in the minds of many Americans.

“I can say that the children, their families, and you all as their providers have support at the highest levels of the federal government,” said Levine while speaking at the Pediatric Grand Rounds session in Hartford.

“President Biden supports you … Vice President [Kamala] Harris supports you. Across the Administration, the departments support you,” she said before adding that she talks “about this topic everywhere I go.”

The New York Post reports that Levine said: “I have no regrets because if I had transitioned when I was young, then I wouldn’t have my children. I can’t imagine a life without my children,”

She also claims that treatments like hormone blockers are medically necessary and helpful for transgender children and patients of all ages. She said: “It is the bullying, harassment, discrimination of transgender youth that leads to these conditions,” whereas those who get support “actually have excellent mental health outcomes,”

“Gender-affirming care is medical care. Gender-affirming care is mental health care. And literally, gender-affirming care is suicide prevention care,”

This is the kind of messaging coming out of the Biden White House, and it appears that the President stands with this type of messaging, or he wouldn’t put officials like Levine out to speak on his behalf.
