Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly not returned phone calls from Senator Elizabeth Warren after the senator failed to endorse Harris as President Biden's running mate in 2024, according to sources.

CNN reported that Warren had called Harris twice to apologize for her remarks, but the Vice President has not responded.

Warren refrained from explicitly endorsing Harris during a Boston Public Radio interview in January. When asked if Harris should be Biden's running mate if he runs for re-election in 2024, Warren said, "I really want to defer to what makes Biden comfortable on his team. I’ve known Kamala for a long time. I like Kamala. I knew her back when she was an attorney general and I was still teaching, and we worked on the housing crisis together, so we go way back. But they need — they have to be a team, and my sense is they are — I don’t mean that by suggesting I think there are any problems. I think they are."

After the interview, Warren issued a statement to GBH News, confirming her full support for a Biden-Harris ticket. She stated that she never intended to imply otherwise and that the President and Vice President are a terrific team with a strong record of delivering for working families.

CNN's Jasmine Wright and Edward-Isaac Dovere reported that Warren spoke to Harris' chief of staff, Lorraine Voles, who returned the phone call. However, the Warren incident has reportedly angered many in Harris' circle, who believe the Vice President has not received the respect or support she deserves.

Some members of Democratic leadership are reportedly concerned that the negativity directed at Harris could prove to be a political problem. Democratic fundraiser John Morgan told the New York Times in February that Harris' weakness as Vice President will be "one of the most hard-hitting arguments against Biden."

Fox News Digital reached out to Harris and Warren for comment but has not heard back.

Governor J.B. Pritzker, D-Ill., urged people to support Harris, saying those who denigrate her are aggrandizing themselves. Another Democratic Party chair reportedly stated that Harris "seems to be an albatross" and that she could either be a liability or a help.
