On Saturday, at an event in Washington, DC, former Vice President Mike Pence spoke out about Biden’s plan to re-enter the nuclear deal.

In his talk with anti-regime activists, Pence warned that if plans go forward, it won’t result in a positive outcome, according to a report by Fox News.

The event was by the Organization of Iranian-American Communities, which supports an Iranian republic that is democratic, non-nuclear, and secular. The group supported Trump and his administration for the policy that exacted maximum pressure on the regime.

In 2015, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was put aside and replaced with re-imposed sanctions that had previously been lifted and, during an air strike, eliminated General Qasem Soleimani.

In 2021, talks were revived in Vienna, but in 2022, the talks came to a halt when the U.S. blamed President Ebrahim Raisi for remaining adamant about his views of the regime. Regardless, Biden and company remain intent on re-entering the deal.

Pence recounted, “On the day we left office, the Iranian regime was more isolated than ever before,” and that the Biden administration is “threatening to unravel all of the progress we made in marginalizing the tyrannical regime in Tehran.”

Pence further stated that Biden’s push to re-engage and waive sanctions is “ill-advised and unwise” because a new deal would not help the Middle East become stable, nor would it stop the regime’s ambitions for a nuclear bomb.

The former Vice President noted, “A renewed nuclear deal won’t lead to peace and stability. I will lead to more terrorism, death, and destruction, and destabilize the region,” and “A renewed deal won’t block Iran’s path to a nuclear bomb, it will pave it in gold.”

The regime is feeling the pressure of the many protests occurring in the country due to the death of Mahsa Amini. The morality police arrested Amini for not covering her head.”

According to Pence, the regime is weak, and the resistance movement is strong, describing it as “an engine for change from within during the uprisings and continued protests.”

Pence has called for Raisi to be prosecuted for his part in the 1988 mass execution of political prisoners, saying, “He must be removed from office by the people of Iran and prosecuted for crimes against humanity and genocide.”

The event and Pence’s speech show that Washington, D.C., supports the resistance movement.
