The Jeffrey Epstein story continues to grow each day, and it seems like more high-powered people are in the crosshairs of this investigation now.

Newly unsealed documents have shown that there are still more significant CEOs who are caught up amid all this.

Raw Story reports an active lawsuit the U.S. Virgin Islands brought against Epstein's estate. More and more of the documents that the Virgin Islands brought in this case have become unsealed for the public, and that has created quite a stir for many people in Epstein's inner circle.

There appears to have been a business connection between Epstein and Barclay's Chief Executive Officer Jes Staley. This relationship is increasingly in the spotlight as new documents remain unsealed in this case. It is a big deal for everyone involved, and it means that there are a lot of eyes on this case as people try to figure out what is going on with all of these connections between Epstein and various business leaders.

Based on the latest documents available about the case, Staley was grateful to receive e-mails from Epstein and had a genuinely close relationship with the man.

"I owe you much," wrote Staley to Epstein in an e-mail in 2009. This is based on documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal. They report that Staley was indeed highly grateful for receiving correspondence from Epstein on various matters.

There are other e-mails in which Staley attempted to coordinate logistics to get to the island owned by Epstein, where he did much of his sex trafficking crimes. This is why many are zeroing in on the relationship between Staley and Epstein. They want to know why someone like this would have cozied up so tightly with someone who is a disgraced and disgraceful criminal.

Legal representatives for Staley, JP Morgan, and Barclays have not commented on these latest revelations yet. These things are likely to be highly embarrassing to Staley, but it is hard to say what he feels about all of this, given his silence on the issue up to this point. There are certainly a lot of threads that still need to be figured out now. It is something that people will have to continue to follow if they want the full details that might come.
