President Joe Biden lives in his little world where he thinks that everyone agrees with him.

But now that the Republican Party runs the House of Representatives, he is coming to grips with the truth that not everyone wants to follow his lead.

The president has promoted the idea that both political parties want to cut Social Security and Medicare. Recent events have revealed that he is finally coming to grips with the truth that conservatives do not want to mess around with those benefits.

Breitbart quoted House Majority Leader Steve Scalise as saying, “He talked about this false premise of somebody that wants to get rid of Medicare and Social Security. He loves throwing this out there, and we called him on it. Everybody’s like, who are you talking about?”

He also mentioned, “And so, then he had this weird interaction with the members of Congress and finally, at the end of it, realized, okay so none of you are for doing that. … Mr. President, stop telling all of these lies.”

Scalise was trying to make the point that the conservatives do not support the president’s idea of cutting benefits. The Republicans want to leave them alone because those who paid into those programs are counting on the benefits for their futures.

Breitbart also reported that Scalise noted, “President Biden actually got into a back-and-forth with some of the members as he was trying to continue this false narrative, and he’s said it many times, oh, there [are] these people who want to get rid of Social Security and Medicare.”

Scalise pointed out that he told the president that the people he thinks support him were not the ones sitting in front of him. The liberal president wants to rob taxpayers of the money they have paid into the system their entire lives.
