She asked about the effects of the regulation on other sports such as swimming, running and MMA. She also questioned if any of the riders in the World Surf League had their opinion taken into consideration prior to the introduction of the new regulation. She also asked whether it would have been better to have a discussion between the players and the league before making it public.
Hamilton then proposed that maybe the best course of action would be to create a new division that offers everyone the opportunity to show their passion and ability.
Making her position clear, she announced that she would no longer be involved with or support the World Surf League if this rule remains in effect.
