Chicago has become the place everyone looks at when it comes to crime in America.

That’s because of failed leftist policies, a drastic increase in crime, and the Chicago Mayor’s notoriously soft stance on crime. Now, she has a ridiculous idea to stop crime.

According to The Gateway Pundit, “2,278 Chicagoans have been killed since Lightfoot took office in 2019. At the same time, the arrest rate has dropped to a mere 5%.”

It makes sense to start putting more criminals behind bars, but Mayor Lightfoot has her idea of stopping them. She thinks that vendors should stop using cash. Mayor Lightfoot defended this decision during a Mayoral debate.

During the debate, the high crime rate came up. Mayor Lightfoot was asked how she would help reduce crime in the area. The topic of street vendors being robbed came up.

According to the Gateway Pundit, Lightfoot said, “We have been in Little Village working with those street vendors, understanding the nature of the crime, and making sure we are doing things in concert with them. Uh, uh, make sure their money is secure and not use it if possible. Using other forms of transactions to take care of themselves.”

Mayor Lightfoot instantly received backlash over her insane solution. Some quickly point out that they think she’s working towards a cashless society. Others said it’s time for her to walk away because it’s clear that her policies are not working and not going to work.

Per The Sun, “Former Major League Baseball pitcher C.J. Wilson said of the plans: ‘Yeah ok. Violent crime and gang activity are based on street vendor honeypots? Chicago is so doomed.’”

Wilson has a point. As long as Mayor Lightfoot is in charge, things don’t look good for Chicago.
