Democrat Eric Swalwell is being blasted on Twitter after asking this single question.

It’s enough to make you laugh and raise your eyebrows. He specifically asked why a Republican’s gun is so small.

Andrew Clyde, a Republican from Georgia, posted a video of himself on social media. In the video, he was holding the pin of a miniature rifle. Swalwell responded to the post to ask why it’s so tiny. Almost instantly, comments started pouring in. However, they didn’t just focus on the question Swalwell asked.

Instead, comments centered on his previous relationship with a suspected Chinese spy. Her name is Christine Fange, but most call her Fang Fang. Then, words took another turn, mentioning the Chinese spy balloon slowly floating across the United States. Per Fox News, here are some of the more interesting comments:

“‘Is what Fang Fang told you….’ responded conservative comedian Tim Young.”

“’ Let’s cut the political theatrics for a moment. Can you phone Fang Fang and ask what’s the deal with this balloon!’ responded former congressional candidate John Matland.”

In the video, Clyde took the time to explain what the pin was and why he was giving them out. Per Fox News, “‘I hear that this little pin I have been giving out on the House floor has been triggering some of my Democrat colleagues. Well, I give it out to remind people of the Second Amendment of the Constitution and how important it is to preserve our liberties,’ Clyde said in the video.”

Swalwell stays on the receiving end of backlash. First, he was blocked from enjoying a position on the House Intelligence Committee. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says it is because he lied about Russian interference in the previous election. Then, McCarthy said if Swalwell can’t manage to get a security clearance in the private sector, he shouldn’t have it in the government.
