Left-wing media outlets such as NBC and MSNBC are having major struggles.

Recently, the outlets had to lay off approximately 75 staffers earlier this month, according to the Gateway Pundit. This has left many of those staffers upset that some of those network's top talents are still bringing in huge paychecks.

The Wrap reported the following:

"The layoffs are a result of targeted programming and editorial changes that will allow the networks, which have a cumulative workforce of around 3,500 staffers total, to invest in key growth areas, according to the source."

NBC and MSNBC are trying to find their way in the world of streaming and other technologies that have taken the spotlight away from traditional network television. These networks either must adapt to how the world is moving today or fade away. Right now, it seems like the fading away narrative is winning the day for these liberal networks.

Much of the media industry has struggled lately, particularly the liberal media. The Wrap reported that outlets such as Buzzfeed cut approximately 12% of their workforce, and The Washington Post terminated 10 staffers from its Sunday print newspaper. Much of the media is moving to the digital world, and left-wing media outlets have not adapted to how the world works today.

Now, there is a lot of anger directed at Rachel Maddow within the MSNBC organization as she is among the highest-paid personalities on any of the liberal media outlets. The Gateway Pundit suggests that Maddow went from being a heralded champion of liberal media to one of the "most hated" individuals at MSNBC because of her large salary.

Reportedly, Maddow signed a $30 million contract with MSNBC and only worked on the network one day per week. She doesn't do her 5-night week show that no longer makes her a star on the network. She stepped away from all that, but she still can somehow draw in a huge salary many are envious of and angry about.

They don't feel like those figures are justified, given the lighter workload that she takes on now. This puts her in the spotlight as someone drawing down a significant amount of money, even as layoffs have become the norm across the rest of the network. That is something to be concerned about, no matter who you are or what your position is if you work in the liberal media.
