He feels that they’re working to indoctrinate children in the schools, and he thinks they have largely gone overboard with some of the things they’re attempting to force on schoolchildren across the board.
Maher began his panel discussion in the following way: “I thought a great subject to talk about would be schools because they’re in the news a lot,”
He continued to say, “We live in a prison yard in this country, which everything is tribal. And, like anything that has to do with schools or education, the Democrats have to answer for because they control it. When you look at the Democratic Convention, three-quarters of them are teachers. My sister’s a teacher. I’m a big defender of teachers, but what’s going on in schools is outrageous, and somebody needs to answer for it.”

Fox News reports that Maher mentioned a recent incident in Virginia in which a 6-year-old student brought a gun to school and shot one of his teachers. Maher said it is disturbing how often teachers are being assaulted and even killed by their students these days, yet it is seen as very routine in our system.

Maher asked, “How did we completely lose control?” “How can any kid learn in this atmosphere when you can’t survive? And these are all schools. This is not just inner-city schools. I hear this anecdotally from people. We’ve completely lost control of our schools.”

Maher said parents are ultimately the problem regarding how children behave in schools, but he said that he feels that the politicians don’t want to go after parents because they are voters. Thus, they often get a pass in the mind of Maher. He feels that this is unacceptable and that parents should be held to account for the actions of their children as well.
