According to Fox News, they continue to get deployed to help protect the southern border despite the constant threat of terrorism against this country.
Air Marshal National Council Executive Director Sonya Labosco spoke with “Fox & Friends” about why the move to bring more and more federal air marshals to the southern border might be a bad idea. Labosco spoke about how this move means fewer air marshals are available to take care of the tasks they ought to be responsible for (i.e., protecting this country against terrorism).
Labosco said the following on Fox News: “It looks insane,” and “We don’t understand why these decisions are [being] made. The intel is clear. Al Qaeda is watching for our weak areas. Our aviation is a high-risk area. We’re not protecting our aviation domain and going to the border. It is absolute madness.”

The high-level Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spoke with the Judicial Review. It stated: “al Qaeda says upcoming attacks on the U.S. possibly involving planes will use new techniques and tactics.”

Despite this threat, the Biden Administration continues sending troops to the southern border instead of relying on those individuals to protect against the dangers.

Many agents have pushed back against the move to send them to the southern border, and some say that they are even willing to risk termination from their role in the military to make the points they feel need to be made. They want to ensure they get heard and that they are not pushed aside by the same administration that routinely ignores their issues and doesn’t take them seriously.

Labosco stated the following while speaking with Fox News: “We do believe it’s a violation,” and “We do believe that DHS has overstepped its bounds. We are waiting for Congress to get sworn in, hopefully today, and we can get some movement here. We need someone to step in, in Congress, and stop the deployment of federal air marshals.”
She continued by saying: “This statute, when it was originally a tent and set by Congress, was not to deploy air marshals to the border, and to be clear, there is no national emergency,” And ended by mentioning: “There’s been no national emergency declared at this point. So we’re still saying [that] we need an injunction from Congress that they cannot send us to the border.”
Given this reality, it is understandable why these air marshals are making their voices heard.
