Resisting The Woke: This European Country Makes VERY Controversial Ruling

The Swiss government has turned down the idea of adding a “third gender” or “no gender” as an option on official government forms in the country.

The Daily Wire reported that Switzerland decided that it would not join up with the gender identity ideology that has swept many others parts of the planet.

The country has decided that it will only allow people to choose whether they are male or female and that there is no in-between. The Associated Press reported on the court ruling in Switzerland, saying:

“The binary gender model is still strongly anchored in Swiss society,” the Swiss Federal Council said in response to two proposals from parliament.

The media outlet continued:

“The social preconditions for introducing a third gender or a general waiver of the gender entry in the civil registry currently are not there.”

The Federal Council made it clear in part that its ruling was based on the vast number of changes required to make to the Swiss Constitution regarding the language used in the document and much more.

There are a lot of complications to the Swiss Constitution, and a partial or complete revision of the Constitution requires the votes of a majority of voters and the majority of the vote in the nation’s 26 cantons.

The Daily Wire reports that there are four major parties in Swiss politics whose views range from far left to far right and everything in the middle.

Many of the countries that neighbor Switzerland such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands, have already revised their constitutions to include a third option for when one selects their gender.

The Biden Administration included a third option on passports in the United States of “no gender” that began in April 2022.

The Swiss people enjoy low unemployment, long lifespans, and a high quality of life for the most part. The people there are known for having a no-nonsense attitude about their approach to politics and everything else.

Renowned evolutionary biologist Jerry Coyne said the following about his feelings on viewing sex as a spectrum:

“‘Actual science’ done by biologists shows 2 sexes, one with small mobile gametes and the other with large, immobile ones.”

This is the route Switzerland is taking in direct opposition to the way that all of their neighboring nations have decided to take.
