However, the new owner, Elon Musk, feels that the policy was overly broad and that it denied many people from expressing their opinions about one of the most hotly debated topics in the world.

However, free speech advocates claim it is a big win for their cause because they feel that their opinions have often been barred. Many are tired of hearing about what they are or are not permitted to talk about on their social media accounts.

The Associated Press reported that the following notice appeared for users of Twitter:

"Effective November 23, 2022, Twitter is no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy."
Dr. Simone Gold offered his opinions about what was going on when he tweeted the following:
"This policy was used to silence people across the world who questioned the media narrative surrounding the virus and treatment options."

Dr. Gold is a COVID lockdown critic and states that his conservative group "America's Frontline Doctors" was silent in many ways when they attempted to offer treatment methods and other information about how to handle COVID-19 that did not involve getting the vaccine.
