What Did They Do? Vandalizers Target Christian Nonprofit In Retaliation Of Gay Bar Shooting

The headquarters for Focus on the Family was vandalized Thursday morning after a shooting in Colorado earlier this week.

Vandals sprayed the phrase "Their blood is on your hands," based on reporting from the Daily Wire.

Whoever did this also seemed to want to tie Focus on the Family to the horrific events in the gay club shooting. However, there is no connection between the Christian non-profit and the crime at the club.

The shooting took the lives of at least five people and injured at least twenty-five more.

Focus on the Family's website says that it seeks to share the gospel:

"with as many people as possible by nurturing and affirming the God-ordained institution of the family and proclaiming biblical truths worldwide."

The traditional media tried to tie the shooter in just days after the shooting with religious organizations that promoted a traditional view of marriage. They also stated that backlash against drag shows was to blame for what happened. However, none of that is accurate.

The Daily Wire does not name the shooter, as is the policy of the media organization to keep the names of shooters out of the media. However, court records show that the individual identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns "they/them."

One CNN guest stated that the shooter could not indeed be non-binary and that the shooter was likely just looking for a way to get out of responsibility for the shooting.

This is precisely the kind of deflection of responsibility that some people are willing to go on TV and help the shooter take. It is alarming to many that some people are willing to work on behalf of a mass shooter like this. Sadly, some people can't get out of their way.

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh pointed out the hypocrisy of those who make bold claims about gender and sexuality by saying:

"You set a precedent here and we will hold you to it. You have to respect his identity."

This act of vandalism is the latest in many crimes since the Supreme Court ruled in the Dobbs case and turned over the responsibility for creating abortion laws to the states. It seems like the abortion rights side of the argument can't handle the fact that their side is not winning the argument on abortion any longer.
