Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei hasn't held back in his criticism of President Biden.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that the Iranian leader said Biden is a demented man. He then led a crowd in chants of "death to America.".

About a week ago, Biden just turned 80 years old, and there has been speculation that his mental health is diminished due to his advanced age.

The comments from Khamenei come even as the White House insists it is still interested in pursuing a nuclear deal with the rogue state. This is true despite the Iranian government's violent crackdown on its protesting people.

The Middle East Media Research Institute translated a speech by Khamenei in which he states that the advancement of Iran is something that the West cannot tolerate. He criticized U.S. Presidents since the 1979 Iranian revolution. He stated that President Trump was "dope" and President Biden was "demented."

He said:

"All the American presidents, in the decades that have passed since the revolution, have fought the Islamic Republic on that front."

During the speech, the gathered crowd joined in repeated chants of "death to America."

The Biden White House still feels it can reach a nuclear deal with Iran. However, members of Biden's party are concerned that any deal won't truly stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Worse yet, they are concerned that trying to make a deal with Iran at this stage could lead to taxpayer funding of a terrorist state and that Iran won't abide by any negotiated deal anyway.

U.S. ambassador to Israel, Tom Nides, stated that a nuclear deal with Iran is not off the table for the Biden Administration. However, he conceded that the administration is "nowhere close" to reaching that deal. He also stated that he is holding out little hope that a deal can be reached with Iran, given where things stand.

The Iranian leadership has internal struggles to concern itself with after nationwide protests followed the death of Mahsa Amini, who died while in the custody of law enforcement authorities within Iran. Many protestors believe she was killed for not following the strict dress code prescribed for women in Iran.

A nuclear deal between the United States and Iran is far from a likely outcome.
