According to information from The Post Millennial, recent polls show younger voters under 30 are less liberal than five years ago.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, posted, “Younger voters are 13 points LESS liberal than they were just 5 years ago, according to Morning Consult. There are massive cultural and institutional headwinds, but younger voters are trending right over a period of time, despite what the media tells you.”

Kirk added, “In 2008, voters under 30 voted for Obama by 34 points. In 2022, voters aged 30-44 - the same group of people - voted Democrat by just 4 points. Breaking the liberal stranglehold on young voters is difficult and takes time. But it is happening,” “Even more interesting, 18-24-year-olds were 4 percent less likely to vote Democrat than 25-29-year olds in this year’s midterms.

A tweet posted on November 21 noted, “For all the noise about the youth vote and the midterms, the actual data suggests there has been significant slippage from the Dem’s high water mark in Obama’s 2008 campaign. In fact, that same group of voters that propelled Obama now basically votes 50/50 as they get older.”

Surveys by Morning Counsel have been conducted since 2017, tracking and gathering information about the voters. He found “the share of the electorate identifying as ‘very liberal,’ ‘liberal,’ or ‘somewhat liberal’ based on a seven-point scale has dropped over the past five years, from 34 percent to 27 percent.” It did not find that the percentage drop was due to voters favoring conservatism.

Kirk points out by saying, “If we want to accelerate gains, let’s send more kids to trade schools, encourage family formation and home buying earlier-these are ‘conservatizing’ lie events. Let's ban TikTok too. Despite these structural disadvantages, we are making serious gains with younger voters.”

Polls are showing significant gains toward conservatism has increased in the Hispanic community. Recent polls show support for the Democrats from the Latino community has dropped by 50 percent over the past decade.
