Here We Go Again: Tyrant HHS Wants To "Gift" Us This For The Holidays

A new report from the Department of Health and Human Services says that Americans should be mandated, or at least encouraged, to wear masks again.

Why? Because the Department of Health and Human Services says doing so can help protect people from getting COVID and/or experiencing the impacts of long COVID.

Fox News reported the following about it: "The report, commissioned by HHS and produced by research agency Coforma, calls for a broad range of government policies to help people who continue to deal with the lingering effects of COVID. Those policies include an awareness campaign, funding for long COVID support groups, financial support for students and workers, and new health benefits for COVID victims."

The fact that mask mandates have been lifted has left many people blissfully unaware of the danger they might find themselves in from long COVID, according to officials within the organization. However, people don't seem to be asking themselves if this is the kind of thing that people should be permitted to decide whether they would like to mask up. It doesn't have to be handed down from up on high to us.

Rachel Levine, assistant secretary for health, stated that the organization continues to learn from the experiences of people with long COVID. She would like to see the issue taken more seriously among the public. She fears there are still many people who are less than concerned about the spread of the novel coronavirus, and she is concerned this could lead to a situation where people cannot get the information they need to keep themselves safe.

Once again, the real question we should be asking ourselves is why government bureaucrats are trying to make decisions for us about mask mandates. We went through more than a year of that, and it did not produce the kind of results our government or others would have hoped it could.

It is a true tragedy that these same officials believe they can change the dynamic in such a way that they will get better results than they did before. Why can't they simply let people live in freedom and try to enjoy life to the best of their ability at this time? Most people would prefer to see that now; that is what we'll have if they back off the masking mandates.
