The war in Ukraine continues to rage on as Russia tries to take over the country.

President Vladimir Putin has pulled out all the stops to try and gain the upper hand. His military has resorted to aerial bombardment with missiles to try and destroy their opposition. And what seemed like a Russian missile strike ended up being friendly fire.

Andrzej Duda is the President of Poland. And he stated that the missile that killed two in his country was what is being called an accident by Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine was bombarded by Russian missiles moments before the stray bomb killed two Polish people. Russia had sent multiple missiles into Ukraine and even targeted Kyiv’s capital, as Just The News reported.

The News also reported that Duda mentioned, “There is no evidence the Russian-made missile [was] launched in an intentional attack, nor is there evidence that Russian forces launched the rocket.” He maintains that Russia is not looking to invade or attack Poland.

Russia has issued multiple threats against outside interference in the war. He has threatened more than once that he will attack any nation that intervenes in his little war. Some reported that Russia had fired the missile in response to how NATO was getting involved.

The Polish President also stated, “From the information that we and our allies have, it was an S-300 rocket made in the Soviet Union, an old rocket, and there is no evidence that the Russian side launched it. It [was] probably fired by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense.”

The bottom line remains that where the missile came from may never be determined. Duda made it sound like he was unsure of who fired the missile. But at the end of the day, two people paid the price for a war that many believe has no point.
