Joe Manchin has spent quite a few years in Congress.

Most accept that he’ll be in Congress for some time, but one person is now determined to unseat him in two years.

Fox News reports, “Rep. Alex Mooney, a Republican from West Virginia, announced to the world on Tuesday that he will run for Senate in 2024 to unseat Sen. Joe Manchin.”

The article continues, “West Virginia values remain at risk in this beautiful country. The government and Congress are bankrupting America. I want to be a part of the solution to those problems,” Mooney said during a radio interview on MetroNews Talkline.”

According to Fox, “It’s been talked about before now, but I’m going to announce it formally. I’m announcing right now that I am running for the U.S. Senate,” Mooney said. “I’m all in.”

Mooney already has a strong chance of winning. Per Fox News, “Mooney became historically known as the first Hispanic congressman to ever represent the state of West Virginia in 2015. Previously, Mooney enjoyed working as a chair of the Maryland Republican Party. There he represented a western District.”

Manchin has previously faced struggles as well. Per Fox News, “Manchin faced his toughest challenge in 2018. This was the year he won by only 3%. It’s a signal that Manchin could face a significant challenge from Mooney. Many point out that the challenge will be greater as West Virginia grows increasingly Republican. The Democrat has faced criticism from within his party as a swing vote in the 50-50 Senate during the last two years.”

Mooney feels that he must help save America. He knows that the Democrat Party is forcing the country to go bankrupt. Democrat leaders continue to usher in a massive crime wave as they pass crime reform laws that defund police and let criminals walk free. Now, more than ever, this country needs people like Mooney to step up and defend our country.
