Congratulations! Texas Candidate Becomes Youngest Republican Woman Ever To Be Elected

For Texas voters, it’s confirmed.

According to a report from Fox News, Caroline Harris became the youngest woman ever elected to the state House of Representatives.

The conservative Republican won Tuesday over Democrat Luis Echegaray by a 12-point margin.

The 28-year-old Harris will serve the 52nd District of the Texas House of Representatives, previously represented by Democrat James Talarico, who chose to run in the 50th District.

Harris’ campaign focused on several hot issues, which included parental rights in education, the pro-life movement, property taxes, and border security. Her opponent ran his campaign focused on the pro-choice movement, improving the country’s infrastructure, immigration reform, and gun control.

Fox News Digital asked the newly elected Harris about her victory. She said, “We pulled off a victory through hard work and sheer grit, effective messaging, and a grassroots army of volunteers energized and excited to flip this seat from Democrat to Republican.”

Harris had much help from high-end endorsements, including Texas Values Action and Texas Right to Life. She was also endorsed by Governor Greg Abbott, who said, “Caroline Harris is a lifelong conservative. Her experience working for conservative priorities with the Legislature will give her constituents a proven fighter with strong pro-life and Second Amendment credentials. I urge everyone in House District 52 to support Caroline Harris.”

The newly elected Harris also received support from Run Gen-Z. The non-profit organization is dedicated to “preparing Generation Z leaders to take action, take charge, and take control of the future by supporting the vision of the founders of this country and supporting conservative political values such as limited government, free market capitalism, individual responsibility, and fiscal restraint.”

After winning, Harris told Fox News Digital, “My top priorities as state representative are to lower property taxes, secure our border, and fight back against Biden’s radical policies.”
