Marjorie Taylor Greene (sometimes shortened simply to MTG) has stated in her own words that Democratic killings of Republicans are already underway.

She spoke at a rally for former President Donald Trump in Michigan on Saturday night and stated that “Democrats want Republicans dead, and the killings have already begun.”.

The only evidence that Greene cited for this was a crime story out of North Dakota in which an intoxicated man was said to have had a political argument with a pedestrian and then used his vehicle to run over that individual. The intoxicated individual later claimed that the pedestrian was part of a “known far-right extremist group.”

She said that President Joe Biden had declared every American an enemy of the state, but she believes that Republicans will take back the country from the “Communists” who want to make it disappear.

Greene also spoke about the slaying of an anti-abortion advocate doing door-to-door canvassing in Michigan last month when she was shot after an alleged argument with one of the people whose door she had knocked on.

Unsurprisingly, Greene’s comments have gone viral on social media. They were pushed out by something known as the Republican Accountability Project, which stated that the comments were “irrespondible and unacceptable.” However, by sharing that tweet, the Republican Accountability Project appears to have expanded the reach of MTG’s comments further than they might have otherwise gone.

This latest controversy comes as news recently broke that Greene and her husband are filing for divorce. The divorce announcement was sudden and unexpected in the broader world. The couple had been married for many years, leading to rampant speculation about why they were suddenly filing for divorce at that time.

Regardless, controversy seems to follow the Georgia Congresswoman around quite a bit. She has not feared speaking her mind and saying things other politicians will not.
