The View is on when most people are at work, so they have to take away the most entertaining parts afterward on cable news segments.

The latest example of this occurred when the ladies of The View reacted to the latest senior moment displayed by President Joe Biden.

The moment occurred when, at a conference, Biden called out Republican Rep. Jackie Walorski of Indiana. The problem is that Rep. Walorski died about a month ago, along with two staffers, during an automobile accident. The “I see dead people” jokes write themselves.

According to the Western Journal, the ladies of The View scrambled to cover for the aging President. Whoopie Goldberg said, “I mean, she passed last month, not like a hundred years ago.”

They went on to discuss the attempt by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to cover for the President by stating that the gaffe resulted from Walorski being at the “top of mind.” Sarah Haines noted, “I think her explanation made it worse, though, because at that moment I probably would have just said: OK guys … he had a moment, who in this room hasn’t, and then just move on. The fact that she kept kind of repeating the same words –”

Joy Behar reached into the distant past and brought up President Ronald Reagan. “They weaponized the gaffes. They’ve said that he’s senile. You know I … I found a Gallup poll from 1980 that showed that the number one concern Americans had about Ronald Reagan was that, quote, ‘He puts his foot in his mouth without thinking or considering the consequences,’ and he is the patron saint of the Republican Party.” Reagan is also a world-historic figure credited with winning the Cold War, ending the threat of global thermonuclear war, and presiding over an era of unparalleled prosperity,

Sunny Hostin had another theory to explain why people are upset at Biden’s age-related gaffes, “It shows that this country is so ageist. This country has a problem with age. You know, you go to other countries, and our elders are revered because of the knowledge they have acquired, and this is a man who has worked in government his entire life.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that Biden has been gaffe-prone his entire life. Besides, she opined, Jean-Pierre should have said, “This was a really important issue we’re drawing attention to, addressing hunger. Jackie Walorski was a champion of it when she was in Congress.”

In other words, the problem was not the gaffe but the attempt to cover for it.
