Pompeo Fighting Hard Against Wokeness In Military

According to Pompeo, “A woke military is a weak military.” Pompeo has plans to do something about that.

According to Fox News,” Aiming at political correctness in the nation’s armed forces, the Army officer who served in Germany and West Point graduate is launching a campaign. The campaign is to target what he calls ‘woke polices’ by President Biden’s administration that is directed toward the military.”

Pompeo says, “Unfortunately, woke and weak are exactly the policies Biden is forcing on our troops. That is why we must stop the spread of wokeness throughout our armed forces.”

One of the ads for the campaign declares, “Our military today is under assault from the radical left,” and “If you’re sitting in a foxhole, you don’t care about political correctness. If we focus on the wrong priorities, Americans will be less safe. We’ll use the right pronouns, but we won’t have the capacity to keep our country safe.”

As usual, conservatives have found this offensive. Fox News states, “Conservative politicians, pundits, and opinion leaders have spoken up since the start of the Biden administration. They rail against what they consider overzealous political correctness by military leaders. However, top Pentagon officers have pushed back on such criticism that the military was becoming too ‘woke,’ calling such accusations ‘offensive.’”

Pompeo hasn’t let that stop him. He says, “I can assure you that there’s no Russian general, no Iranian leader, no Chinese Communist Party admiral, who’s spending a second thinking about gender or woke ideology or climate change. These military leaders are thinking about how to kill Americans. The fight is on. We have to walk away from this radical left ideology. We cannot let it penetrate our military.”
