Drag Queen Discrimination, Is It A Thing?

Paypal is taking dramatic action to shut down accounts of groups opposed to allowing drag shows with children in the audience.

The UK-based Free Speech Union is one such group that has seen its access to PayPal shut down. Gays Against Groomers has also pulled the plug on its PayPal account. This makes it much more challenging for either group to fundraise or even to have the ability to pay its people who run day-to-day operations.

It isn’t easy to be involved with either of these groups, making it much more challenging for them to spread their message to people who may want to hear it.

Gays Against Groomers took to Twitter to share screenshots of the messages they received from payment processors such as PayPal and Venmo. They wanted their followers to understand that they would no longer be able to process payments through those services.

This may leave them somewhat stuck as far as taking care of some of the online businesses that they would typically be able to take care of without much trouble at all.

The Gays Against Groomers organization was founded by Jaimee Michell. Michell is a self-described “right-wing lesbian fighting for the truth.” She has been highly vocal about her opposition to what many in the LGBTQ movement are doing now. She feels that it is not reasonable to have children exposed to drag shows at all, and her organization speaks out against these types of events.

Twitter has briefly suspended the Gays Against Groomer's account on multiple occasions over the last few months after they said that the organization violated their terms of service. One of the terms of service that Twitter specifically cited was its TOS that users are not permitted to call other people “groomers” based on their sexual orientation.

The organization has said that woke homophobia is accurate and that they are an organization consisting entirely of LGBTQ members. They believe they are being unfairly discriminated against because they oppose dragging shows where children will be present.
