The news of Governor Abbott busing migrants out of Texas isn’t new. He’s sent some to Chicago and some to New York. According to Daily Wire, some dropped off in Martha’s Vineyard courtesy of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Howard Kurtz, the host of MediaBuzz, notes that MSNBC and CNN sent reporters to Martha’s Vineyard when the migrants arrived. He stated, “President Biden said this is playing politics with human beings, reckless and unAmerican.”
Jenkins explained that transporting migrants away from border cities is often for their good. He says, “Del Rio has a population of 35,000. They had 50,000 migrants come there in July.” He went on to criticize claims that Martha’s Vineyard was crippled by 50 migrants being sent there when some of those same critics didn’t say a word about the 2,000 migrants sent to New York on 50 buses.

Jenkins also issued a reminder that he’s always tried to shed light on the migrant crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. When asked how things like his trip to the Panamanian jungle related to the current situation, Jenkins said the governors were sending an important message about the problem.

While Republican governors shipping illegal migrants out of their states might seem a bit harsh, it’s important to note that they’re only being sent to self-proclaimed sanctuary cities. It’s easy enough for liberals to complain about the process, but the fact remains that these border cities can’t support the migrants. What if sending them to other locations and allowing them to spread out is the best solution?
