The Democrats running New York continue to alienate themselves by passing laws that take away the people’s constitutional freedoms. The latest attack on the people comes from the state telling worship centers that no people can carry weapons inside the churches or synagogues.

Tzvi Waldman is the founder of the New York State Jewish Gun Club. He is planning on suing the state over the new law.

The law passed by the liberals is New York’s Concealed Carry Improvement Act. The new law requires applicants to undergo a strenuous application process to obtain a permit to carry a handgun. One requirement is that the person submits their social media history before their application is approved.

Waldman stated, “The Second Amendment is not a second-class right.” It is something that stands at the heart of the Constitution. He is confident that his challenge will win and the law will be toppled in court.

Kathy Hochul is the Governor of New York. She thought the new law was a great idea because it would limit people from being able to defend themselves. Lee Zeldin is a Republican running against the socialist government. He stated, “Violent criminals could not care less about gun-free zones. They see them as easier targets. This is especially dangerous for Jewish New Yorkers, who are experiencing an alarming rise in antisemitic violence, with far too few consequences for those committing the violence.”

Waldman pointed out that Orthodox Jews spend up to 20 hours a week in their places of worship. The rise in violent crimes against the Jewish population warrants them being able to defend themselves should a person decide to attack them during worship time.

The liberals argue that places of worship should hire out their security needs. They want the Jewish people and others to hand over their right to defend themselves to a third party and trust that things will turn out just OK.
