President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris might be the Democratic Party's ticket, about the 2024 presidential election.

On Thursday, in the middle of a family vacation in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, President Biden showered praise on Harris, tweeting: "It's been two years since I announced @KamalaHarris as my running mate. She's a fearless fighter and the best partner I could have for the work ahead."

Harris echoed the president's sentiment later in the day, posting this tweet: "Two years ago, @JoeBiden called me to join him on the ticket as vice president.

"I was and still am incredibly honored by this responsibility and ready to continue the work ahead."

There's been rampant speculation regarding Biden pursuing reelection two years from now, given how he's already the oldest president in United States history.

Nevertheless, Biden maintains he intends to run again.

Yet he would be bucking public sentiment. Several tracking surveys have Biden underwater with approval ratings.

In June, CIVIQS' rolling job-approval rating had President Biden at 31% favorability — the lowest figure in the poll's history.

And for July, a Monmouth University poll had Biden tracking at 36% — the lowest Biden-related figure for that survey.

Regarding Harris, a recent Morning Consult/Politico survey listed the vice president with a job-approval mark of 38%.

According to Breitbart News, Harris did not speak at Biden's White House signing ceremony of the CHIPS act. Her last speaking event with President Biden, advancing abortion rights, took place on Aug. 3.

Last week, Biden mistakenly explained he was still the vice president.

"I can't drive a vehicle while I'm vice president ... while I'm president, any more than when I was vice president," Biden stated then.

Meanwhile, Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., announced he doesn't want President Joe Biden to run again in 2024.

Phillips made his comments throughout an interview on WCCO's Chad Hartman radio show on Thursday.

CNN called it the strongest public remark yet regarding Biden and a second term from a lawmaker within the Democratic Party.

Phillips was questioned if he wanted Biden to run in 2024.

He answered: "I have respect for Joe Biden. I think he has, despite some mistakes and some missteps, despite his age, I think he's a man of decency, of good principle, of compassion, of empathy, and of strength."

"But to answer your question directly, which I know is quite rare, no, I don't. I think the country would be well served by a new generation of compelling, well-prepared, dynamic Democrats to step up. And with that, I hope we see a resurgence of the principled center-right Republican Party reform."
