Hunter Biden may be accused, but the public likely will never understand the whole story, according to a projection by a Republican senator. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who has speared the endeavor in Congress to probe the business dealings of President Joe Biden's son, talked with Fox News host Dan Bongino, who asked if Johnson believes the "mainstream media" will turn on the commander in chief now because of his low poll numbers. "That's my prediction," Johnson said before sharing his "other" forecast. "My other prediction is they may indict Hunter Biden, but they'll probably seal — they'll do a deal — they'll seal all the information. The American public will never get the full truth," the senator said. [tweet_embed] August 01, 2022[/tweet_embed] Johnson and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) published a report in September 2020, during the heat of the presidential election cycle, describing extensive financial relations between Hunter Biden and China, Ukraine, and elsewhere. Democrats dismissed the report as part of an effort to proliferate Russian disinformation, claims the two senators have denied, as Republicans raised concerns about the hold foreign powers might have on a Biden administration. Prosecutors are contemplating charges for alleged tax violations and making an incorrect statement regarding the acquisition of a firearm at a time when he should have been blocked from getting such a weapon because of drug addiction. CNN's report on the latest reviews said the federal investigation has struck a "critical juncture." The younger Biden has denied wrongdoing. Adding to the dispute around the President's son, Grassley recently announced that whistleblowers told him FBI officials were undercutting or hiding evidence about Hunter Biden, wrongly tagging truthful evidence as "disinformation." Although President Joe Biden has denied knowledge of his son's business dealings, Fox News reported on Thursday that the elder Biden met with at least 14 of Hunter Biden’s business associates while he was vice president in the Obama White House. [tweet_embed] August 01, 2022[/tweet_embed] "We've known that the Bidens are a corrupt family for years," Johnson told Bongino, adding that these latest revelations show the FBI "was covering it up" while a "complicit and corrupt mainstream media" is only now coming around to the story. An analysis of recent elections shows that Democrats' chances of getting one or both congressional majorities might be better than previously expected, even with President Joe Biden's support is in a dismal spot. Biden's poll numbers have plummeted in recent months, with any number of aggregates showing his approval currently hovering between 30% and 40%.
