It is one thing to help Ukraine, it is another thing to boast about it - to shove the success of killing key Russian players in the face of Putin, to celebrate how, with their help, the flagship of the Russian navy's fleet was sunk.

In what can only be described as an effort to taunt Putin into attacking America, Pentagon sources have admitted that U.S. intelligence shared information on the location of Russian generals in Ukraine, as well as the Russian flagship Naval ship with Ukrainian forces, allowing them to kill many of the high-ranking military officers that have died on the battlefield.

The information shared has helped kill as many as 12 Russian generals in Ukraine and sink one big ship, and is part of a secret endeavor by the Biden administration to provide the Ukrainians with details on Russian troop movements and the location of mobile Russian military command posts, according to the New York Times report.

Senior U.S. officials questioned in the report did not say how many Russian generals had been killed with the aid of U.S. intelligence.

According to the report, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said he would not "speak to the details" of the intelligence being given to Ukraine. Still, he said that the U.S. provides “Ukraine with information and intelligence that they can use to defend themselves.”

National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson told the New York Times that intelligence shared with Ukraine is not given “with the intent to kill Russian generals.”

According to the report, the United States does not provide Ukraine with intelligence about the most senior Russian leaders, which said that a Ukrainian strike over the weekend that just missed Gen. Valery Gerasimov, Russia’s highest-ranking uniformed officer, was not the result of U.S. intelligence aid.

"This war has arguably been the most successful intelligence operation in military history,” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said in congressional testimony last month.

It has been previously reported that Ukraine employs U.S. intelligence to move planes and air defense systems almost every day to dodge Russian airstrikes, which is one of the reasons why Russia has not been able to achieve air superiority since the start of the war.

Last month, it was discovered that Ukraine shot down a Russian transport plane early in the war holding hundreds of troops to Gostomel Airport, outside of Kyiv, with help from U.S. intelligence.

Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III said last month that “we want to see Russia weakened to the degree it cannot do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.”

Asked about the intelligence being provided to the Ukrainians, John F. Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, said that “we will not speak to the details of that information.” But he admitted that the United States provides “Ukraine with information and intelligence that they can use to defend themselves.”
