Joe Rogan asked former President Donald Trump to reconsider his decision not to return to Twitter on Tuesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

In an announcement Monday, Trump stated that he would not be returning to Twitter, despite the purchase by free speech champion Elon Musk. Trump said he would instead use his own Truth Social network. “I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump stated to Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”

Rogan’s remarks came after he found out that Musk’s purchase of Twitter had been made official. Rogan remarked on the impact that Musk would have on the platform. “Here’s why that’s going to be interesting. Because first of all, he believes that free speech is important, and not just important, vital for a democracy—for a functioning democracy, and I agree with that,” announced Rogan of Musk.

“What’s interesting about this is, look, we’ve found out some things about Twitter and one of the things they do is shadow ban people. They make it so that your content, whatever you put out, has less impact and has less engagement and limits your ability to express yourself.”

“They ban accounts, and they ban accounts if the account says something that they don’t agree with. If the account says something that they believe... this ability to shadow ban people has to be exposed.” “... Look, it will change everything, and I wonder how quickly before Donald Trump’s back,” announced Rogan, not understanding that Trump had declared he would be opting for Truth Social.

After being told by his producer, Jamie Vernon, that he would not be returning to the platform, Rogan looked at the camera and stated: “Donald, reconsider!” Guest and comedian Jessica Kirson also slammed Gen-Z's popularized app TikTok for doing the same thing, which Rogan agreed “was the worst.” Kirson announced that the short-video platform put her on “probation" after posting a clip about ‘her and her body and how she felt.”

Rogan jokingly stated: “Well maybe Elon will buy TikTok next.” Musk declared that he wanted to purchase Twitter after bashing the platform for censorship, and the billionaire has blasted the “extreme antibody reaction” from “those who fear free speech” and announced it “says it all’ as he launched his first public backlash against the Left after acquiring the platform.”
